The Grange Hall

The original hall was built in 1851 as the Mountain Rose Lodge of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows.  After being destroyed by the fire of 1853, it was rebuilt and has become an historic landmark.  It survived the devastating fire of 1859 that

consumed almost all of Rough

and Ready.  The hall is now

owned and maintained by the

Rough and Ready Grange

# 795.  It is the “Town Hall”

center for dances, parties

and receptions, community

and club meetings, and can

be rented for functions

by calling (530) 272-4142.  It

is also the site of the monthly

Grange Breakfast from 8am to

10am on the 2nd Saturday of

every month.
